PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dick Mamabama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baio Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mamabama might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Smoke Two Joints by Sublime. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mamabama swivels and escapes.
Cain fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cain shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mamabama is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cain is keen to just control but Mamabama is a slippery customer.

Mamabama is trying to stand back up but Cain is controlling him
Cain is looking to stall here but Mamabama recovers full guard.
Mamabama is adopting a defensive guard.

Cain is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cain won't allow Mamabama to sweep him here.

Cain wants to control from the top but Mamabama keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cain thows a big elbow that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cain fails with a takedown attempt.
Dick Mamabama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baio Cain.

Cain shoots in for a takedown but Mamabama shows good takedown defense.

Nice takedown defense from Mamabama. No joy for Cain on that attempt.
Baio Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mamabama lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Mamabama turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mamabama lands a jab-cross combination.
Mamabama throws a head kick that Cain semi-blocks.

Mamabama throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Cain colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Mamabama as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Cain is left battered and dazed whilst Mamabama and his camp cheer!
