Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
wagner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Johnson throws a right hand that wagner ducks under and follows up with a left that wagner also avoids with ease.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but wagner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

wagner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing wagner off to one side.

wagner shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but wagner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

wagner moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Johnson leaves wagner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

wagner ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. wagner no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Johnson wants to get up but he can't break wagner's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
wagner is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Johnson frees his head nicely. Oh but wagner has switched to an armbar! Johnson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
