The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Harris shoots in looking for a takedown. de Veragua tries to sprawl out of it but Harris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. de Veragua manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Harris drops back, looking for a kneebar! de Veragua looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. de Veragua looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from de Veragua!
de Veragua is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Harris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
de Veragua lands a nice shot to the head.

Harris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
de Veragua thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
