Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonny Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Faure!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kingston shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Faure manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kingston preventing the sweep.
Faure is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kingston thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Faure is trying to keep Kingston in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kingston gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kingston stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Faure shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kingston manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Faure passes Kingston's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kingston is in trouble now - Faure has advanced to mount!
Kingston has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Faure patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Faure is looking to control Kingston but Kingston is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Faure is persistently looking for the submission but Kingston is defending it well.
Kingston is breathing heavily.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Faure working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kingston looking very determined here, making life difficult for Faure.

Faure trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Kingston doesn't escape.

Faure looking to break Kingston's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kingston remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Faure will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Faure trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Faure is not going to allow Kingston to sit and survive in this position.

Kingston trying to control the hands but Faure won't let him.

Faure has the hooks in. Kingston is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Kingston is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Faure gets his way!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Faure keeps control of the position easily here as Kingston tries to buck him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Faure circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jonny Kingston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Faure misses with a takedown attempt

and Kingston holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kingston lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Faure backwards.
Kingston tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kingston keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Faure's efforts to push away.
Faure is pressed up against the cage. Kingston has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Faure down to the mat. Faure avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Faure gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kingston counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Faure has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kingston is working away from the top position though.

Faure looking for submissions off his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Faure is looking for a sweep. Kingston is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kingston seems to be looking for submissions.
Kingston is trying to control. Faure wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Faure is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kingston's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kingston's back!

Faure advances nicely into full mount.
Faure tries to control but Kingston wriggling away.
Kingston is working to get back to half guard.
Faure controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Faure showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Faure misses with a few strikes there.

Kingston shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kingston postures up.

Faure looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Faure is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kingston defends well.
Faure looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kingston is one step ahead there.

Kingston thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Faure is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Faure passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kingston wants to hold on but Faure pushes him away.
Kingston really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Faure is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Faure fails with the takedown

and Kingston counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Faure is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kingston rolls with it to try and escape but Faure cranks on the arm and Kingston is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
