The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from StPierre does no damage.
StPierre stuffs the takedown attempt from Pits. Pits gets slowly back to his feet.
Pits avoids a punch combination nicely.
StPierre wants to clinch up but Pits keeps it at a distance.
Greg StPierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pits shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Pits prevents StPierre from standing back up.
Pits looks to land a strike but StPierre avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pits wants to control from the top but StPierre keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pits's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
StPierre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pits looks up at the clock. Bad move! StPierre lands a right hand from hell, dropping Pits. StPierre pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
