Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rabid Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vegetarian Vampire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vampire comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Divino - Soy Un Simple Bandolero kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Vegetarian Vampire has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rabid Rabbit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vegetarian Vampire! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rabbit closes the distance and clinches up with Vampire, looking for a takedown. Rabbit pushes Vampire against the cage but Vampire circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Vampire goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Vampire throws a series of strikes that have Rabbit backpedaling.
Vampire stuffs the takedown attempt from Rabbit. Rabbit gets slowly back to his feet. Rabbit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rabid Rabbit. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vampire closes the distance and clinches. Vampire on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rabbit tries to pull guard but Vampire won't allow it.
Vampire lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rabbit backwards. Rabbit breaks the clinch.
Rabbit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vampire's waist but Vampire gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rabbit off to one side. Vampire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rabbit, pushing him back against the cage. Rabbit missing with knees to the body.
Rabbit landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rabbit prevents Vampire from breaking the clinch. Vampire wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rabbit breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vampire clobbers Rabbit with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rabbit takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rabbit takes a body punch but keeps moving. Rabbit tries to clinch there but Vampire circles away.
Vampire rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rabbit moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vampire fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vampire clinches but Rabbit breaks the clinch and Rabbit counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rabbit keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vampire's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vampire looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rabbit postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vampire is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rabbit, into his guard. Rabbit is breathing heavily. Rabbit is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vampire content to stall in guard here. Vampire wants to stand and escape but instead Rabbit has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Vampire wants to stand but Rabbit is controlling the position. Rabbit keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vampire's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vampire keeping moving, preventing Rabbit from controlling successfully. Rabbit looking to pass the guard. Vampire wants to stand and escape but Rabbit is having none of it. Rabbit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vampire swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vampire is looking to stand up but Rabbit isn't so interested in that idea.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rabbit fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vampire sprawls well initially but Rabbit persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rabbit trying to pass the guard but Vampire defending well. Vampire manages to get to full guard.
Vampire tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rabbit drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vampire manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rabbit has Vampire in his guard. Vampire slips nicely into half guard. Rabbit moves into full guard.
Rabbit is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rabbit manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vampire manages to get himself to full guard.
Rabbit passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vampire is in trouble now - Rabbit has advanced to mount! Rabbit working for a submission but Vampire is keeping him at bay. Rabbit looking to control and managing it successfully. Rabbit landing shots from mount. Rabbit working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rabbit cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rabbit controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rabid Rabbit dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vampire has managed to clinch.
Rabbit with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Vampire breaks from the clinch.
Rabbit has a takedown stuffed. Vampire lands a nice hook to Rabbit's body. Rabbit takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Vampire throws a good cross that connects.
Vampire circles away from the clinch attempt letting Vampire counter with a right hand. Rabbit slips a jab and a cross from Vampire.
Vampire throws a series of strikes that have Rabbit backpedaling.
Vampire throws a combination that misses and Rabbit counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Vampire is trying to stand up here but Rabbit is controlling him well. Rabbit slows the pace down in half guard. Vampire tries to kick Rabbit off but Rabbit keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rabbit is looking for a kimura but Vampire is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rabbit to get the leverage. Rabbit stands up out of the half guard. Rabbit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Vampire throws a combination. Rabbit tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Rabbit drives through with a takedown into guard. Rabbit works a leg free and moves into half guard. Rabbit seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rabbit is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Vampire has managed to free his arm - good work. Rabbit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rabbit is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rabbit in particular looking to stall. Rabbit passes to full mount! Rabbit takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Rabbit jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vampire is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vampire and Rabbit has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rabbit tries to move to mount but Vampire blocks the move with his legs. Rabbit is working to tighten is grip on Vampire's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vampire has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rabbit is really squeezing tight and eventually Vampire passes out! Rabbit breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rabid Rabbit!
