Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Donnelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and World Champion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paddy Donnelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, World Champion! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Champion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Champion misses with a head kick.
Champion throws a head kick but Donnelly moves out of range.
Donnelly throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Donnelly tries to bum rush Champion with a series of wild strikes but Champion uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Donnelly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Donnelly blocks a head kick by Champion.
Champion tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Donnelly throws a series of punches but Champion moves out of range. Champion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Champion throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Champion throws a head kick that misses. Donnelly checks a leg kick nicely. Donnelly tries to clinch up but Champion circles away and keeps his distance. Donnelly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Champion has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Donnelly avoids the head kick by Champion.
Champion throws a lazy head kick and Donnelly counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Donnelly breaks the clinch.
Champion moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Donnelly is looking to slow Champion down with leg kicks. Champion looks gassed!

Champion throws a leg kick but Donnelly moved away. Donnelly goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Donnelly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Champion swivels and escapes. Donnelly takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Donnelly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Champion defends it nicely. Donnelly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Champion pinned against the cage. Champion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paddy Donnelly. That's going to take a lot out of him. Champion throws a head kick but Donnelly moves out of range.

Donnelly rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Champion moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Donnelly has closed the distance and engaged Champion in a clinch.
Champion wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Champion is looking to break free of the clinch but Donnelly has double underhooks. Champion goes for a takedown in the clinch but Donnelly prevents it.
Donnelly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Donnelly looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Donnelly closes the distance and pushes Champion back into the cage. Donnelly has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Champion uses from the top position. Champion trying to control but Donnelly is working from the bottom. Donnelly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Champion's guard. Donnelly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Donnelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Champion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Donnelly stands and throws Champion's legs to the side, diving into side control. Donnelly looks up at the clock and then as Champion takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Donnelly smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Champion wants to control but Donnelly postures up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Champion is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Donnelly tries to score with some ground and pound. Champion controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Donnelly decides to stand back up. Champion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Donnelly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Champion somewhat. Champion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Champion is trying to maintain a safe position but Donnelly gets an underhook and turns Champion into the cage. Champion tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Champion pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Donnelly works Champion's body with a nice hook. A head kick misses from Champion. A head kick by Champion misses and Donnelly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Champion pulls out of a head kick attempt.

World Champion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Champion plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Champion throws a head kick that misses and Donnelly counters with a nice double leg into side control. Champion won't be happy with that. Donnelly throwing shots but missing, from side control. Donnelly tries for a kimura but Champion is defending well. Champion can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paddy Donnelly is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Donnelly shoots in and drives through. Champion sprawls well. Donnelly moves into range and clinches up with Champion. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Donnelly decides to pull guard. Champion pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Donnelly is keeping the position for now. Donnelly keeping moving, preventing Champion from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donnelly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Champion is one step ahead there. Donnelly wants to stand and escape but Champion is having none of it. Champion controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Champion is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Champion stops Donnelly from standing up. Donnelly tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Donnelly avoids the head kick by Champion.
Donnelly fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Champion avoids it really well and circles away. A head kick misses from Champion. Champion throws a hook but Donnelly avoids it easily. Champion throws a head kick but Donnelly moves out of range.

A head kick misses from Champion. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Champion lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Donnelly has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Donnelly and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A head kick misses from Champion. A head kick by Champion misses and Donnelly counters with a body kick. Donnelly avoids the head kick by Champion.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Donnelly avoids the head kick by Champion.
Donnelly misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A right-left combo lands from Donnelly. Champion throws a head kick but Donnelly moves out of range.

Champion goes for a takedown in the clinch but Donnelly prevents it.
Paddy Donnelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of World Champion. Donnelly wants to get back to striking at distance but Champion won't allow it.

Donnelly decides to pull guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Donnelly not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Champion drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Donnelly manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Champion has Donnelly in his guard. Champion is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Donnelly drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Donnelly jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Champion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Donnelly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Champion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Donnelly trying to control but Champion is working from the bottom. Donnelly has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Champion is proving hard to escape from.

Champion throws his legs up looking for a submission but Donnelly uses it to pass to side control.
Champion sneaks back into half guard. Champion tries to roll over but Donnelly keeps him under control. Champion trying to control here.
Donnelly is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Champion is just riding it out for now. Donnelly eventually gives up the hold. Champion is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Donnelly's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Donnelly's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Donnelly wants to control his opponent's hands but Champion gets his hands free. Champion is working for a rear naked choke. Donnelly is not defending it well and Champion has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Donnelly refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Donnelly's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
