Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between COLM HARKIN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). COLM HARKIN is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, COLM HARKIN! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ned Gracie! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but HARKIN shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. HARKIN is looking to take this fight into the clinch. HARKIN tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range. HARKIN has managed to clinch.
Gracie lands a takedown into guard.
Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gracie stays in close to HARKIN's body and controls the position. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. HARKIN looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.
Gracie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie throws and elbow that misses. HARKIN uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gracie's guard. Nice move by HARKIN! HARKIN knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground. HARKIN trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. Gracie trying to control the position.
HARKIN has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. HARKIN is fighting to break Gracie's control of his arms but Gracie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. HARKIN gets to his feet - Gracie follows without any prompting. HARKIN throws a one two combo.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by HARKIN which made him look bad. Gracie looks gassed! HARKIN throws a right and a left that both miss. HARKIN shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. HARKIN didn't expect that. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. HARKIN swivels though and keeps the full guard. HARKIN pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie controls the pace of the fight for a moment. HARKIN looking for a sweep. Not yet HARKIN, not yet. HARKIN can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gracie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for HARKIN! Gracie with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. HARKIN working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie trying to control but HARKIN is having none of it. Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but HARKIN manages to avoid the submission attempt. Gracie looking to punish the body of his opponent here but HARKIN is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ned Gracie dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
HARKIN doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. HARKIN working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie won't allow HARKIN to sweep him here. HARKIN is working hard here to advance position. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gracie forces his way into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is taking a breather. HARKIN says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Gracie not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gracie is trying to control. HARKIN wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gracie moves into full mount! HARKIN won't be happy about that! Gracie wants to control the pace but HARKIN is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully. Gracie cracks HARKIN with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gracie prevents HARKIN from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. HARKIN tries to hold on but Gracie pushes him away. HARKIN is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes. HARKIN is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gracie but it's paid off an HARKIN is forced to tap! Nice work by Gracie.
