Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Penn showed some decent athleticism there.
Machida tries to get to full guard but Penn has control of the leg.
Machida is in trouble now - Penn has advanced to mount!
Machida has given up his back here. Will Penn look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Machida rolls, trying to escape but Penn keeps control of the position.
Machida tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Machida tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Penn has control of Machida's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Machida regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Machida is trying to escape the mount.

Penn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Penn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Machida is looking to escape.
Machida tries to improve his position but Penn has taken his back! Penn has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Machida tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Penn pushes Machida away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
