Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zequinha Pancado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Tar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zequinha Pancado! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tar throws a nice looking combination but Pancado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pancado sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tar somewhat. Tar fails with a takedown attempt. Pancado fails in his attempt to clinch. Pancado has his takedown stuffed and Tar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Pancado looks to land a combination. Tar sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Pancado tries a head kick but it misses.
Pancado tries to close the distance and clinch but Tar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tar shoots in but Pancado avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Tar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tar has his takedown stuffed and Pancado counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Tar!
Tar is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tar looking for submissions off his back. Tar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pancado pulls his head out easily. Tar is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pancado is thwarting Tar's attempts to control the position. Pancado is looking to take a break and control but Tar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pancado tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Tar tries to roll over but Pancado keeps him under control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tar scores a takedown into full mount! Tar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pancado is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tar prevents Pancado from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pancado tries to reverse the position but Tar maintains control. Pancado manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Tar uses his free foot to push down on Pancado's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pancado. Tar trying to control but Pancado is having none of it. Tar punching from mount but Pancado doing a good job of avoiding damage. Pancado is looking to improve his position but Tar isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pancado wants to control but Tar is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pancado is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tar is staying active. Tar wants to finish this one by submission but Pancado is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tar. Tar moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pancado has worked his arm free - good work by Pancado!
Tar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pancado tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pancado knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tar throwing shots but missing, from side control. Pancado is trying to get back to half guard. Tar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pancado is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pancado manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zequinha Pancado dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice sprawl there from Pancado as Tar shoots in. Pancado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tar manages to avoid it. Tar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pancado counters with a nice uppercut. Pancado closes the distance and clinches up with Tar, looking for a takedown. Pancado pushes Tar against the cage but Tar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tar lands in his opponent's guard. Pancado keeping moving, preventing Tar from controlling successfully. Tar postures up in Pancado's guard and throws a big left but Pancado blocks it. Pancado wants to sweep but no luck. Tar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pancado is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tar, into his guard. Pancado is posturing up here but Tar has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Pancado tries to roll out but it's too tight and Pancado has to tap! Slick submission there by Tar!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jack Tar! Jack Tar is the new super heavyweight champion!
