The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Zedski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Phil Avent has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Zedski as Avent shoots in.
Zedski fails to land with a series of punches.
Avent shoots in but no luck this time.
Avent shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zedski as he avoids it easily.
Kristow Zedski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Avent.
Zedski swats away the attempt to clinch by Avent.

Avent has closed the distance and engaged Zedski in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zedski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zedski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Avent circles away quickly and effectively.
Avent shoots in and drives through. Zedski sprawls well.
Avent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zedski paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Zedski drops Avent with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Avent looks back up at him and smiles so Zedski waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Avent looks gassed!
Zedski feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Avent crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
