Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watanabe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Insomnia - Tiësto. Drysdale has chosen Ignorant Shit as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Watanabe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Drysdale! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drysdale will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Watanabe throws a good cross that connects.
Roberto Drysdale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drysdale fails with the takedown. Watanabe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Watanabe lands with an uppercut that bounces Drysdale off the ropes and back into rage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Drysdale is defended easily by Watanabe. Kai Watanabe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Drysdale. Watanabe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Drysdale moves away. Watanabe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Watanabe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Watanabe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Drysdale is defended easily by Watanabe. Watanabe scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Drysdale looks gassed! Drysdale takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Watanabe drops Drysdale with a beautiful combination! Drysdale stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Watanabe is looking for the KO!
Drysdale is rocked!
It looks like Roberto Drysdale has been cut. Watanabe dances in with a quick combination. Drysdale is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Watanabe snaps Drysdale's head back. Drysdale stumbles backwards against the ropes. Watanabe steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Drysdale's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Drysdale just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kai Watanabe! Kai Watanabe retains his welterweight title!
