Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between usman ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Hegarty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hegarty is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: CANT BE TOUCHED. ali is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chris Hegarty was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hegarty closes the distance and pushes ali back into the cage.
ali is breathing heavily.
Hegarty is pressed up against the cage. ali has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hegarty down to the mat. Hegarty avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hegarty throws a right and a left that ali avoids nicely.

It looks like usman ali has been cut.

ali gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hegarty decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Hegarty shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hegarty ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hegarty no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Chris Hegarty is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

ali drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hegarty dives on top into guard.

Well Hegarty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
