The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dunlap moves in looking to clinch but Howard pushes him off.
Howard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dunlap.

Nice defenses there by Dunlap.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dunlap lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Howard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Howard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Howard ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dunlap throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Howard swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dunlap.

Howard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dunlap manages to avoid it.

and Howard counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dunlap!
Howard unloads with some shots from mount but Dunlap bucks and avoids them well.
Howard is landing with some decent strikes but Dunlap is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Howard jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dunlap is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dunlap and Howard has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Howard wants to control but Dunlap is keeping him busy.
The referee asks Howard politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Howard prefers to stall for the moment though.
Howard misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Howard cracks Dunlap with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Howard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Dunlap wants to control but Howard postures up.
Dunlap takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Dunlap has one of Howard's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Howard misses with the ground and pound.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

John Howard dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Some wild striking there from Dunlap.
Michael Dunlap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dunlap throws a left and a right that both miss
and Howard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dunlap tries to close the distance and clinch up but Howard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Howard dives in and grabs Dunlap's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dunlap pushes down on Howard's head and hops out.
Dunlap throws a sloppy body shot
and Dunlap takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Howard throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dunlap looks to clinch
and Howard counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Howard uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dunlap has time to react.

Dunlap is breathing heavily.
Howard circles away from the clinch attempt
and Howard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Michael Dunlap has been cut.
Howard drops Dunlap with a huge uppercut! Dunlap drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Howard is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
