Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Carlsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes to the cage accompanied by Withstand The Fall of Time - Immortal. Carlsen has chosen Home by BZ's as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Carlsen!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Carlsen shoots in and bounces Power off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carlsen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Carlsen wants to pass the guard but Power is keeping the position.
Carlsen throws a big right hand that misses.
Carlsen prevents Power from getting back to his feet.
Carlsen pushes down on Power's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Power gets back to full guard.

Power had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carlsen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Power Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carlsen's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carlsen rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carlsen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carlsen showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Power wants to improve his position but Carlsen is controlling well.
Power is looking to escape.

Power tries to get to full guard but Carlsen has control of the leg.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carlsen keeps the fight on the outside.

Power is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Carlsen rolls with it to try and escape but Power cranks on the arm and Carlsen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
