Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andres Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sosa sprawls well. Sosa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.
Sosa throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sosa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sosa won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sosa is trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sosa takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sosa is looking to reverse the position.

Lesnar landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Sosa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Check out the look on Lesnar's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Lesnar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lesnar is breathing heavily.
Sosa wants to get back to his feet.
Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sosa tries to escape but Lesnar is in control.
Sosa is looking to reverse the position.
Sosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sosa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lesnar has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Lesnar grinds an elbow into Sosa's temple.
Lesnar cracks Sosa with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sosa wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar drags him back down.

Lesnar in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Sosa is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brock Lesnar!
