The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
rodriguez throws a low kick, looking for Jimenez's leg but Jimenez calmly moves out of range.
Jimenez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
rodriguez fails with the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - rodriguez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

rodriguez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jimenez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

I really don't envy Jimenez right now.

rodriguez is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jimenez defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

rodriguez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jimenez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, rodriguez has managed to get both his arms back between Jimenez's legs - danger averted.

Jimenez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. rodriguez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jimenez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take rodriguez's back instead.
rodriguez wants to control his opponent's hands but Jimenez gets his hands free.
