Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paalio II darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Paalio II is looking for a kimura here.
Metusalem pushes Paalio II off looking to stand but Paalio II dives back in and keeps control.
Paalio II missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Metusalem is trying to stand back up but Paalio II is controlling him
Paalio II throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Metusalem looks like he's trying to stand up.
Paalio II looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Paalio II not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Metusalem shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Metusalem slaps away a takedown attempt from Paalio II, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Metusalem lands a glancing blow to the side of Paalio II's head.
It looks like Aalio Paalio II has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Metusalem, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Paalio II shoots in looking for a takedown. Metusalem tries to sprawl out of it but Paalio II keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Metusalem manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Metusalem pushes Paalio II away with a front kick.
Paalio II looks gassed!
A jab lands there for Metusalem.
Metusalem lands with a right and another and another! Paalio II is in big trouble! Metusalem lands again and this time it's lights out for Paalio II! A quality knockout there for Metusalem.
