The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan shoots in looking for a takedown. Babalu tries to sprawl out of it but Brennan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Babalu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Babalu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Babalu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brennan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brennan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Babalu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brennan has Babalu in his guard.
Babalu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
