Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Naga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Tigechelar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naga comes to the cage accompanied by NAGA Nap. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Naga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Tigechelar! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naga drives through with a takedown into guard. Tigechelar wants to sweep here but Naga controlling him for the moment. Tigechelar doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tigechelar wants to sweep but no luck. Naga tries to free his leg and advance position but Tigechelar is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Naga wants to control from the top but Tigechelar keeps moving. Naga passes Tigechelar's left leg - he's now in half guard. Naga is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tigechelar is just riding it out for now. Naga eventually gives up the hold. Naga trying to pass the guard but Tigechelar defending well. Tigechelar is refusing to be controlled, as Naga sits in half guard. Tigechelar punching from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tigechelar actively working from the bottom here. Tigechelar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Naga trying to mount his opponent but Tigechelar defends it. Tigechelar tries to roll over but Naga keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tigechelar tries for a takedown but Naga circles away easily and Naga counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tigechelar trying to control the position.
Naga trying to control the position from guard on top but Tigechelar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Naga got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tigechelar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Naga has managed to get both his arms back between Tigechelar's legs - danger averted. Naga looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Naga thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Naga wants to pass the guard but Tigechelar is keeping the position. Tigechelar controls Naga momentarily but Naga frees himself. Tigechelar keeping moving, preventing Naga from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Naga fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tigechelar manages to avoid it. Naga looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tigechelar working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naga tries to free his leg and advance position but Tigechelar is retaining full guard. Naga has gone for a leg lock! Tigechelar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Naga's guard. Naga is breathing heavily. Tigechelar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Naga drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Naga jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tigechelar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Naga! Naga is in a horrible position here. Tigechelar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Naga is in all sorts of trouble here.
Naga manages to regain half guard. Good work. Tigechelar is trying to control. Naga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Naga looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Naga is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tigechelar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Naga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Tigechelar stands and steps away. Naga gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Naga scores with a takedown into Tigechelar's guard. Tigechelar has his foot on Naga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Naga works his way back into a safe position though. Naga sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tigechelar's guard. Tigechelar is trying to get back to full guard. Naga is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tigechelar is just riding it out for now. Naga eventually gives up the hold. Tigechelar won't allow Naga to pass to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tigechelar is not content to let Naga control the position. Naga is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tigechelar is staying active underneath Naga, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tigechelar looking for submissions off his back. Naga is working for an americana but Tigechelar has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Naga was thinking about the submission. Tigechelar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tigechelar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tigechelar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tigechelar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Naga looking to pass the guard. Naga is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tigechelar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tigechelar has escaped and now he's on top! Tigechelar is in close to Naga's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naga utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Naga escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tigechelar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tigechelar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Naga's head. Tigechelar passes Naga's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Naga manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Naga keeping moving, preventing Tigechelar from controlling successfully. Tigechelar wants to pass the guard but Naga is keeping the position. Tigechelar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Naga wants to sweep but no luck. Tigechelar drops back looking for a leg! Naga is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Naga manages to kick Tigechelar off! Tigechelar jumps back into Naga's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tigechelar trying to control the position from guard on top but Naga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tigechelar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tigechelar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Naga did well to prevent Tigechelar getting side control. Tigechelar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Naga keeps working. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Naga moves into full guard.

Steve Tigechelar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Tigechelar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tigechelar is trying to get an arm triangle but Naga is defending well. Nick Naga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Naga manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Naga looking for submissions off his back. Naga tries to roll over but Tigechelar keeps him under control. Naga moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tigechelar stopping the sweep attempt from Naga.

Tigechelar drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Tigechelar as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Naga screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Tigechelar! Nice submission victory there!
