Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hazelett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Chew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chew has chosen Heart of a Champion as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Hazelett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marvin Chew! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hazelett tries to clinch up. Hazelett shoots in for a takedown but Chew shows good takedown defense. Hazelett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chew with a hook. Chew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Mike Hazelett has been cut. Hazelett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chew as he avoids it easily. Chew stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hazelett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chew circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chew punishes Hazelett's body with a nice straight punch. The fight stays on the outside here - Chew looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Chew scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hazelett is breathing heavily. Chew fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hazelett. Hazelett avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chew bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chew has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hazelett takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Marvin Chew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chew thows a body kick. Hazelett tries to catch it but that hurt him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chew tries to clinch there but Hazelett circles away.
Chew closes the distance and clinches. Chew blocks the elbow strike.
Hazelett trying to stall but Chew improves his position.
Chew drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hazelett pulls his leg out and moves away.
Hazelett tries to clinch but Chew moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chew fails to land with a series of punches.
Chew tries to clinch but Hazelett is having none of it. Hazelett doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chew counters with a body kick. Hazelett doesn't manage to clinch there - Chew circles away.
A left and a right from Chew both land. Nice combination. Hazelett shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chew counters with a right hand to the body. Chew tries to clinch up. Chew changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hazelett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hazelett is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Chew is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hazelett looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chew gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hazelett is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chew lets go of the hold and Hazelett can pop his arm back in it's socket.
