Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve rifformato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Trevor Rex! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, steve rifformato! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rex shoots in looking for a takedown. rifformato tries to sprawl out of it but Rex keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. rifformato manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. rifformato scores with a takedown into Rex's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. rifformato thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rex is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
rifformato stands and throws Rex's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rex sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rex looking for submissions off his back. Rex gets back to full guard.
rifformato got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rex has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, rifformato has managed to get both his arms back between Rex's legs - danger averted. rifformato won't allow Rex to sweep him here. rifformato thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Rex is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. rifformato tries to free his leg and advance position but Rex is retaining full guard. rifformato is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rex looking for a triangle here. rifformato is fighting it but it looks tight! Rex pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, rifformato is tapping out - this one is all over!
