Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hassan is staying tight to Cote's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cote wants to get back to his feet but Hassan drags him back down.
Hassan controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Fahir Hassan just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Cote throws a series of strikes that have Hassan backpedaling.
It looks like Fahir Hassan has been cut.
Cote keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cote has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hassan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cote fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cote misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cote moves in looking to clinch but Hassan pushes him off.
Cote stuns Hassan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hassan is breathing heavily.
Hassan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cote as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fahir Hassan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A lazy left from Cote finds it's target.
Cote has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cote slowing the pace effectively.
Hassan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cote breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cote rushes Hassan and presses him up against the cage.
Cote lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Cote breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cote has closed the distance and engaged Hassan in a clinch.
Cote breaks from the clinch.
Hassan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cote drops Hassan with a beautiful combination! Hassan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cote is looking for the KO!
Hassan is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cote fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Hassan out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Petrick Cote!
