Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Jay Z - Empire State Of Mind as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Gray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Scott! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Gray throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A head kick misses from Scott. Scott circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scott throws a head kick that half lands.
Scott swats away the attempt to clinch by Gray. Gray throws a lazy head kick and Scott counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gray wants to clinch but Scott slips to the side and Scott counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Gabriel Gray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gray tries to clinch but fails miserably and Scott counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Scott slips a jab and a cross from Gray.
Scott cracks Gray with a right hand to the side of the head. Gray throws a lazy head kick and Scott counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gray's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gray keeping moving, preventing Scott from controlling successfully. Scott stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gray swivels though and keeps the full guard. Scott pushes down on Gray's leg and manages to get into half guard. Scott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Scott trying to control the action but Gray is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gray tries to get to full guard but Scott has control of the leg. Gray is defending against the submission attempts here by Scott.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gray is not content to let Scott control the position. Gray is in trouble now - Scott has advanced to mount! Gray is trying desperately to improve position. Scott looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Gray holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Scott tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Scott is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gray has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gray throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gray is looking to get to half guard. Scott jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gray is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gray and Scott has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gray is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Scott has just dragged him back down to the mat. Gray prevents Scott from moving into mount. Gray is trying to get back to his feet. Gray wants to control but Scott postures up. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Scott tries for a kimura but Gray is defending well. Scott looks gassed! Gray is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Scott off and has taken his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gray thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Scott turns into Gray and is now in his guard.

Scott sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Scott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Scott. Scott seems keen to control Gray's posture. Scott has a closed guard, preventing Gray from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Scott dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gray darts in trying to clinch and Scott counters with a left and a right that stings Gray. Gray misses with a double jab
and Scott counters with a nice body kick.
Scott throws a series of punches but Gray avoids them all with ease. Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gray moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Scott plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Scott misses with a takedown attempt - Gray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gray throws a left and a right that both miss
and Scott counters with a head kick. Scott goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gray connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gray throws the left hand but Scott avoids the punch easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott takes a shot right to the bread basket. Scott scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Gabriel Gray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gray looks to clinch and Scott counters with a nice uppercut. A head kick by Gray misses and Scott counters with a nice uppercut. Gray tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Scott counters with a nice uppercut. Scott moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gray closes the distance but Scott moves to the side and Scott counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gray is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Gray is rocked! Scott grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Gray takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Scott cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Michael Scott!
