The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Taylor trying to control but Cheetham is working from the bottom.
Taylor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cheetham wants to sweep here but Taylor controlling him for the moment.
Taylor stays in close to Cheetham's body and controls the position.
Taylor is pushing down on Cheetham's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cheetham is fighting to maintain full guard but Taylor has managed to sneak the leg through.
Taylor prevents Cheetham from improving his position.
Taylor lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
