Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Da Cougar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stouut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cougar's entrance music is Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers. A fine choice. Stouut is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fight Music-D-12. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stouut shoots in looking for a takedown. Cougar tries to sprawl out of it but Stouut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Cougar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stouut misses with a takedown attempt - Cougar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stouut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cougar but Cougar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Da Cougar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Stouut.
Stouut misses with a takedown attempt - Cougar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Cougar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cougar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Stouut throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cougar escapes and throws Stouut's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Cougar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stouut for as long as he can get away with.

Cougar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stouut, pushing him back against the ropes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cougar drags the fight down to the ground.
Stouut postures up.
Cougar pushes Stouut off and scrambles back to his feet.

Cougar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stouut backs up against the ropes.
Stouut closes the distance and pushes Cougar back into the ropes.

Cougar has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stouut regains guard immediately.
Da Cougar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cougar slips a nice elbow through Stouut's hands, connecting with Stouut's forehead.

Cougar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stouut can do to turn this around?
The referee stands the fighters back up. Da Cougar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Stouut has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cougar finds it's way round the side to connect with Stouut's head.
That has opened up Sam Stouut's cut even more.
Cougar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Cougar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stouut clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Cougar connects with a big shot to the side of Stouut's head.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's time! Cougar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Stouut takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Stouut throws and elbow that misses. Cougar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stouut's guard. Nice move by Cougar!

Stouut isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cougar stacks Stouut on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cougar!
