Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Doorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira pushes Doorman up against the cage in a clinch.
Doorman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Oliveira breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oliveira feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Oliveira wants to stand but Doorman is controlling his posture from full guard.

Doorman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Oliveira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doorman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Doorman is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andre Oliveira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Oliveira counters with a good low kick that Doorman was not able to check.

Doorman takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Oliveira swings around for an armbar but Doorman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Oliveira's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oliveira can do anything to dispel that myth.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Doorman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Oliveira takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oliveira is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doorman's half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Oliveira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Doorman's guard.

Andre Oliveira is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Oliveira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doorman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Oliveira has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
