Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orange Chicken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cy Coe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coe has chosen Insane In The Membrane as his entrance music. Orange Chicken could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cy Coe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Orange Chicken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cy Coe!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chicken scores with a takedown into Coe's guard.
Coe keeping moving, preventing Chicken from controlling successfully.

Coe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Chicken won't allow Coe to get back to his feet.
Coe tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chicken trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Chicken prevents Coe from getting back to his feet.
Chicken wants to control from the top but Coe keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Coe swinging wilding here.
Coe throws a series of punches but Chicken moves out of range.

Chicken feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chicken has gone for a leg lock! Coe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chicken's guard.

Chicken has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Chicken looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coe thows a big elbow that misses.

Chicken has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Coe wants to pass the guard but Chicken is keeping the position.
Coe throwing strikes but missing.
Coe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chicken swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coe won't allow Chicken to sweep him here.

Coe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Chicken looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Coe is looking for a sweep. Chicken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Chicken missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Chicken wants to take a breather but Coe is having none of it.

Chicken wants to work for an arm triangle but Coe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chicken is breathing heavily.

Coe tries to roll over but Chicken keeps him under control.
Coe trying to hold on to Chicken's head to control him but Chicken postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Coe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chicken circles away quickly and effectively.
Coe throws a looping overhand right but Chicken ducks down to avoid it.

Chicken is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Coe's half guard.
Coe is trying to stand back up but Chicken is controlling him

Coe looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Chicken passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coe wants to improve his position but Chicken is controlling well.
Chicken slows the pace down in half guard.
Coe wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Orange Chicken dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Coe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Chicken shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Chicken moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Coe has worked his arm free - good work by Coe!

Coe throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Chicken changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Coe manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chicken's best efforts.
Coe pushes Chicken off looking to stand but Chicken dives back in and keeps control.
Chicken frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Coe is trying desperately to improve position.
Chicken with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Chicken is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Coe has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Coe tries to reverse the position but Chicken maintains control.
Chicken breaks from Coe's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Chicken can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coe is looking to escape.
Chicken avoids the attempt from Coe to control.
Coe is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Chicken is staying active.
Coe is desperately trying to improve his position but Chicken has a good base and remains in mount.

Chicken looking to secure an arm triangle but Coe defends it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chicken tries to control but Coe wriggling away.
Coe reaches up to try and control the position but Chicken seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Coe rolls and tries to escape and now Chicken has his back!
Coe trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Chicken is landing with strikes from the back.
Coe looking very determined here, making life difficult for Chicken.
Coe looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Chicken is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Coe is defending well though. Chicken let's go of the attempt for now.
Coe tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Coe is bucking up trying to escape but Chicken cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Coe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Chicken jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Coe manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Coe tries to improve position but can't.
Chicken tries to move into full mount but can't pass Coe's legs.
Coe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Chicken tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Chicken is looking to take a break and control but Coe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Coe's face as Chicken controls the position.
Coe can't do much from the bottom here.
Chicken is looking to take a break and control but Coe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Coe moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Orange Chicken has been cut.
Coe misses with a body kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Coe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Orange Chicken will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Orange Chicken's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Coe's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Coe duly obliges.

Chicken shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Coe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chicken cracks Coe with a big right hand but Coe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Orange Chicken overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Coe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chicken wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Chicken is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Coe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Coe wants to control but Chicken postures up.

Chicken is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Coe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Coe tries to escape but Chicken is in control.

Chicken is trying to get an arm triangle but Coe is defending well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Coe misses with a strike from the bottom.

Chicken tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chicken has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Coe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Coe is in trouble now - Chicken has advanced to mount!
Coe tries to hold on but Chicken postures up.

Chicken working for a guillotine from mount but Coe is in no mood to give up.
Coe wants to hold on but Chicken pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Chicken tries to control but Coe wriggling away.

Chicken wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Coe is looking to get to half guard.

Chicken is working for a guillotine from mount but Coe frees his head quite easily.
Coe wants to control but Chicken is having none of it.
Chicken prevents Coe from getting the reversal.
Coe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Orange Chicken is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Chicken looking to control and managing it successfully.
Coe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chicken sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Chicken has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cy Coe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coe tries to hold on but Chicken postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Orange Chicken showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chicken, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
