Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reuben Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Schubert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schubert takes the fight into the clinch.
Schubert tries a knee to the head but Gonzalez blocks it.

Gonzalez misses with a takedown attempt

and Schubert counters with a single leg into guard. Gonzalez didn't expect that.

Gonzalez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Schubert is one step ahead there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Schubert throws a head kick that Gonzalez semi-blocks.
Gonzalez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Schubert counters with a takedown into side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Gonzalez tries to improve position but can't.
Schubert tries to advance to mount but Gonzalez denies him.
Gonzalez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Gonzalez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schubert on the ground.
Schubert is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gonzalez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Schubert is looking to take a break and control but Gonzalez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Schubert passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gonzalez!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Schubert lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schubert lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gonzalez tries to hold on but Schubert pushes him away.
Gonzalez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Gonzalez is desperately trying to improve his position but Schubert has a good base and remains in mount.
Gonzalez is trying to reverse the position but instead Schubert has taken his back - oops!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gonzalez avoids the strikes from Schubert.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Schubert counters by clinching up.

Schubert tightens his grip and picks Gonzalez up, before dumping him to the ground. Gonzalez manages to land in guard.
Gonzalez looking for a sweep. Not yet Gonzalez, not yet.
Schubert stands and throws Gonzalez's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Schubert thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Schubert trying to control the position but Gonzalez is working away.
Gonzalez is looking to regain half guard here but Schubert keeps moving and retains side control.

Gonzalez is working hard here to advance position.
Gonzalez tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Schubert easily slips into full mount!

Schubert postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gonzalez looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Gonzalez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Schubert controlling the pace for now.

Schubert has isolated one of Gonzalez's arms. Gonzalez looking to fight him off but Schubert twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
