Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between German Titov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coy Dervesh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coy Dervesh told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, German Titov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Coy Dervesh! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dervesh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Titov did well to prevent Dervesh getting side control. Dervesh missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Titov pushes Dervesh off but Dervesh dives into side control.
Titov prevents Dervesh from improving position. Titov struggling a bit here. Titov is looking for a sweep. Titov wants to control but Dervesh postures up. Titov tries to buck Dervesh off but Dervesh is having none of it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Dervesh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Titov's half guard. Titov is trying to maintain the position but Dervesh is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dervesh connects with a nice short shot to Titov's temple. Titov trying to hold on to Dervesh's head to control him but Dervesh postures up.
Titov is trying to stand up here but Dervesh is controlling him well. Dervesh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dervesh decides to return to a standing position. Dervesh feints and as Titov raises his hands in defense, Dervesh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Titov throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Titov wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Titov throws a head kick that misses. Titov is breathing heavily. Titov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Titov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dervesh will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Dervesh tries to escape but Titov is in control. Dervesh is looking for a sweep. Titov working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Dervesh regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dervesh works his way to full guard. Good work. Dervesh wants to sweep here but Titov controlling him for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Titov trying to control the position from guard on top but Dervesh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dervesh thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dervesh controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dervesh pushes Titov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dervesh instigates a clinch. Dervesh drags the fight down to the ground.
Dervesh lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Titov! Dervesh connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coy Dervesh dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dervesh gets a clinch. Dervesh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for Titov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dervesh shoots in and bounces Titov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Titov is trying to control the position but Dervesh postures up. Dervesh trying to control the position from guard on top but Titov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Titov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dervesh won't allow Titov to get back to his feet. Dervesh tries to free his leg and advance position but Titov is retaining full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dervesh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dervesh gets to his feet. Titov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Titov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dervesh to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dervesh controlling from the top position. Titov is working an open guard so Dervesh takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dervesh moves into range and clinches up with Titov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Titov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Dervesh landing knees to the body.
Dervesh keeps control of Titov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Titov looking for a takedown. Dervesh decides to pull guard. Dervesh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Titov defends well. Titov passes into half guard. Dervesh trying to control here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dervesh moves into full guard.
Dervesh keeping moving, preventing Titov from controlling successfully. Dervesh wants to sweep here but Titov controlling him for the moment. Dervesh is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Titov trying to control but Dervesh is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dervesh is adopting a defensive guard. Dervesh throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Dervesh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dervesh keeping moving, preventing Titov from controlling successfully.

Coy Dervesh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Dervesh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Titov with a poor takedown and Dervesh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dervesh sitting and controlling from the half guard. Dervesh wants to control but Titov is keeping him busy. Dervesh throwing shots but Titov is blocking nicely. Titov is controlling Dervesh's position as best he can from this difficult position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dervesh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Titov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dervesh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Let's hope that Dervesh has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dervesh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Titov keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Titov trying to control here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Coy Dervesh just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dervesh shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Titov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Titov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dervesh. Dervesh throwing shots but Titov is blocking nicely. Titov is looking for a sweep. Dervesh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Dervesh seems content to control. Coy Dervesh has got the better of the ground game so far. Titov actively working from the bottom here. Dervesh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dervesh's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Dervesh is looking to advance position but Titov won't allow it. Titov tries to roll over but Dervesh keeps him under control. German Titov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coy Dervesh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dervesh working over Titov with some ground and pound. Titov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
And that's the end of the fight! Coy Dervesh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dervesh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
