Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gray Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Bon Jovi - Blaze of Glory. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gray Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Johnson! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson lands a left and a right that send Hunter crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Gray Hunter has been cut. Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hunter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hunter trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom. Hunter is really struggling to control Johnson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Hunter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Johnson has escaped the position, nice work there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hunter throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Hunter passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Johnson! Hunter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hunter lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hunter looking to control but Johnson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hunter controlling the position easily from mount. Hunter lands a big shot there that rocks Johnson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Poor strikes thrown by Hunter there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Hunter has control of Johnson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johnson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hunter jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Johnson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Hunter is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson pushes Hunter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hunter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hunter tries to score with some ground and pound. Johnson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Hunter throws an elbow but Johnson slips to the side and avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson is trying to get back to his feet. Hunter tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Hunter is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnson tries to clinch and Hunter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A head kick misses from Hunter. Hunter fails with a takedown attempt. Hunter tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Hunter shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well. Johnson throws a head kick that misses. Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunter wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance. Hunter slips a straight right by Johnson. Johnson looks for a takedown but Hunter sprawls well. Hunter fails with the takedown and Johnson counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gray Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hunter instigates a clinch. Johnson is looking to break free of the clinch but Hunter has double underhooks. Hunter trying to land knees to the body.
Johnson tries to break free but Hunter pushes him back against the cage. Hunter is leaning against Johnson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Hunter throws a knee to the head but misses.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hunter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson wants to stand but Hunter is controlling his posture from full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.

Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! Gray Hunter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hunter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
