The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Johnson blocks the leg kick.
McKean throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.
McKean ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.
McKean misses with a wild combination.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - McKean throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McKean lands the left hand.
Johnson blocks a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from McKean misses the target.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McKean checks a leg kick nicely.

McKean lands a left and a right that send Johnson crashing to the mat, dazed. McKean thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McKean looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range.

Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
McKean seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Rock Johnson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McKean!

Johnson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, McKean has worked his arm free - good work by McKean!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McKean connects with a solid leg kick.
Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McKean throws out the jab.
Barry McKean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKean takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.

McKean lands with a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A big left from McKean misses.

McKean sends Johnson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! McKean is motioning to the referee to let Johnson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Johnson slips under a jab.
McKean steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Johnson is out on his feet! McKean sets himself and nearly takes Johnson's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Barry McKean! Barry McKean retains his heavyweight title!
