Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Showme Damone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Saltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damone comes into the arena with Slam by ONYX/Biohazard blaring out of the sound system. Justin Saltz acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Showme Damone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Saltz!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saltz scores with a punch to the head.
Damone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saltz.
Saltz throws a series of punches but Damone moves out of range.
Damone tries for a takedown but Saltz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Damone slips a straight right by Saltz.
Damone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Damone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saltz tries to avoid it but Damone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saltz to the ground. Saltz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Showme Damone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Damone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Saltz as he avoids it easily.

Saltz's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Damone sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Damone winds up and cracks Saltz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saltz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Damone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Saltz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Damone seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Saltz wants to stand and escape but instead Damone has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Justin Saltz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Damone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
