Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Colin Concrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Hicks will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Concrete shoots in for a takedown but Hicks shows good takedown defense.
Hicks wants to clinch up but Concrete keeps it at a distance.
Hicks moves in looking to clinch but Concrete pushes him off.
Concrete shoots for a double leg takedown but Hicks sprawls well. He's pushed Concrete's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hicks throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Concrete will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hicks moves into the clinch successfully.

Hicks scores with a one two! Concrete had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Concrete doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Concrete shoots in looking for a takedown. Hicks tries to sprawl out of it but Concrete keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hicks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hicks throws a good cross that connects.
Concrete closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hicks circles away.
Hicks smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Concrete closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hicks did well to prevent Concrete getting side control.
Concrete is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Concrete is looking for a kimura but Hicks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Concrete to get the leverage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Concrete throws an overhand right that lands on Hicks's shoulder, as Hicks tries to avoid the shot.

Concrete has closed the distance and engaged Hicks in a clinch.
Hicks tries to break the clinch but Concrete is controlling the position.
Concrete jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hicks walks away with a smile on his face. Concrete gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Concrete is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hicks tries to clinch there but Concrete circles away.
Hicks tries a head kick but it misses.

Concrete throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hicks was covering up waiting for the punch and Concrete finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Concrete gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Colin Concrete is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Hicks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Concrete darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Concrete slows the pace down in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Concrete passes to side control.

Concrete stands up and we're back to a striking position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Colin Concrete.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Concrete, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
