Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Maria Olazabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Sherinian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Maria Olazabal had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Derek Sherinian told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Sherinian is trying hard to land a takedown here. Olazabal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Olazabal misses the target.
Olazabal lands a big shot that drops Sherinian! Can he finish him?
Sherinian has his foot on Olazabal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olazabal works his way back into a safe position though.
Sherinian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Olazabal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Olazabal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sherinian swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Olazabal drops back looking for a leg! Sherinian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sherinian manages to kick Olazabal off! Olazabal jumps back into Sherinian's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sherinian is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Olazabal defends well.
Sherinian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Olazabal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Olazabal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Olazabal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sherinian sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Olazabal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sherinian napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sherinian drops back, looking for a kneebar! Olazabal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Olazabal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Olazabal!

Olazabal throws out a loose jab but Sherinian uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sherinian misses with a takedown
and Olazabal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sherinian's guard.

Olazabal is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sherinian has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Olazabal is looking to defend but Sherinian has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Olazabal! Sherinian pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Olazabal taps out and this one is all over!
