Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kegan Odhran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maku Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Odhran comes to the cage accompanied by The Cranberries - Zombie. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maku Hiro!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiro misses with an uppercut. Odhran saw that one coming.
Jab by Hiro.
Hiro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Odhran is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hiro is aware though and is defending well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hiro wants to control from the top but Odhran keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hiro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Odhran escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hiro is in close to Odhran's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Odhran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hiro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hiro content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hiro lands a couple of digs.
Odhran keeping moving, preventing Hiro from controlling successfully.
Hiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Odhran swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Odhran is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hiro defends well.

Odhran is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hiro scores with a couple of nice shots.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hiro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Odhran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hiro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Odhran does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hiro can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Odhran is looking to escape.

Hiro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hiro is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Odhran can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hiro is landing with some decent strikes but Odhran is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hiro connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hiro loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Odhran scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Hiro land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Hiro stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maku Hiro! Maku Hiro retains his light heavyweight title!
