The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayate drops Hortiz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hortiz looks back up at him and smiles so Hayate waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hortiz is rocked!
It looks like Pato Hortiz has been cut.
Hortiz looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hayate throws a series of punches but Hortiz avoids them all with ease.
Oh Hortiz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A punch combination from Hayate misses.
Hayate throws a right hand that Hortiz ducks under and follows up with a left that Hortiz also avoids with ease.
Hayate darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Hortiz's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Hayate before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ein Hayate!
