The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jack shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jack swats him away and circles back towards the center. Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jack sees it coming and avoids it easily. Anderson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jack throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jack staying out of range there. Anderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jack moves out of range as Anderson strikes. Matt Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jack scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Jack moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anderson wants to clinch but Jack slips to the side and Jack counters with a nice uppercut. Anderson misses the jab. Anderson throws a hook to the side of Jack's head but Jack sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Anderson stuffs the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Anderson. Jack gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Anderson cracks Jack with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jack clinches up against the cage. Jack has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anderson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Anderson throws a hook to the side of Jack's head but Jack sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jack tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jack somewhat. Anderson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Anderson connects with a nice short shot to Jack's temple.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Hugh Jack. Well Jack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
