The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tipo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Powel.
Powel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Powel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Powel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Powel is working Tipo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Powel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tipo's head.
Powel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Powel wants to control from the top but Tipo keeps moving.
Powel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tipo dives on top into guard.
Powel is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tipo has his hands clasped together but Powel extends an breaks Tipo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Powel.
