Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Karbao Kamang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serizawa Tamao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tamao has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tamao looks gassed! Kamang controlling the position from side mount. Kamang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tamao keeps working. Tamao trying to remain calm as Kamang controls from the top position. Kamang scoring with punches from side control. Kamang is staying tight to Tamao's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kamang seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tamao for as long as he can get away with. Kamang creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tamao sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kamang just content to control the position. Kamang grinds an elbow into Tamao's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Check out the look on Kamang's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kamang is looking to take a break and control but Tamao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kamang misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kamang scoring with punches and elbows.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Karbao Kamang just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Kamang throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tamao was covering up waiting for the punch and Kamang finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kamang trying to control but Tamao is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tamao controls Kamang momentarily but Kamang frees himself. Kamang in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kamang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kamang tries to free his leg and advance position but Tamao is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karbao Kamang dominated that round. The cut man is working on Serizawa Tamao's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kamang scores with a takedown into Tamao's guard. Kamang advances to half guard. Kamang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kamang in particular looking to stall. Kamang trying to mount his opponent but Tamao defends it.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tamao's head. Kamang controlling the action here. Tamao tries to kick Kamang off but Kamang keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kamang shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tamao manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kamang trying to control but Tamao is working from the bottom. Kamang not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Kamang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kamang tries to move to mount but Tamao blocks the move with his legs. Tamao takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kamang lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

The referee asks Kamang politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kamang prefers to stall for the moment though. Tamao is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kamang is looking to take a break and control but Tamao is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Karbao Kamang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Karbao Kamang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tamao is trying to maintain the position but Kamang is very close to passing his half guard. Serizawa Tamao has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
