Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adaru Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Rakusaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Arch Enemy - We Will Rise . Rakusaba has chosen David Bowie - Suffragette City as his entrance music. Kazushi Rakusaba has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Adaru Kitano's chin.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adaru Kitano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Rakusaba! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rakusaba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kitano was well out of range. Poor timing from Rakusaba. Rakusaba throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kitano was covering up waiting for the punch and Rakusaba finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rakusaba trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kitano manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kitano pushing down on Rakusaba's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kitano trying to control the action but Rakusaba is working from the bottom. Rakusaba looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rakusaba throws a body punch but Kitano moves out of range. Rakusaba dives in and grabs Kitano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kitano pushes down on Rakusaba's head and hops out. Rakusaba misses with an uppercut. Kitano saw that one coming. Rakusaba moves out of range of the strikes. Rakusaba lands with a hook. Kitano tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Rakusaba closes the distance and clinches up with Kitano, looking for a takedown. Rakusaba pushes Kitano against the ropes but Kitano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rakusaba thuds a left hand into Kitano's body. Kitano misses with a hook. Rakusaba ducked under it nicely. Kitano lands with a shot to the body. Kitano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rakusaba. Rakusaba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kitano checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kitano misses with an uppercut. Rakusaba saw that one coming. Rakusaba moves away from the strike by Kitano. Kitano tries to bum rush Rakusaba with a series of wild strikes but Rakusaba uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rakusaba bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kitano manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rakusaba's best efforts. Kitano is not content to let Rakusaba control the position. Rakusaba sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kitano defending well though. Rakusaba trying to mount his opponent but Kitano defends it. Kitano trying to control from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rakusaba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kitano as he jumps to the side. Adaru Kitano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Rakusaba. Rakusaba looks to land a right hand but Kitano moved out of range. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rakusaba. Kitano is looking to regain half guard here but Rakusaba keeps moving and retains side control. Rakusaba wants to control but Kitano is keeping him busy. Rakusaba prevents Kitano from escaping the position. Rakusaba trying to control the position but Kitano is working away. Kitano tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rakusaba has control of an arm but Kitano manages to advance to Rakusaba's back! Rakusaba tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kitano jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rakusaba manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kitano creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rakusaba sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kitano is breathing heavily. Kitano lands a few punches from side control. Rakusaba is looking for a sweep. Kitano looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rakusaba is avoiding damage well.

Rakusaba can't do much from the bottom here. Rakusaba is looking for a sweep. Kitano thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kitano looks to land a combination but Rakusaba avoids it well. Rakusaba closes the distance and clinches up with Kitano, looking for a takedown. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kitano's guard. Kitano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rakusaba is working away from the top position though. Rakusaba drops an elbow to the side of Kitano's head.

Rakusaba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kitano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rakusaba lands strikes from half guard. Rakusaba is trying to control the action in half guard but Kitano is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rakusaba with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rakusaba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kitano swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rakusaba wants to control from the top but Kitano keeps moving. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adaru Kitano. I think Rakusaba has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
