The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks moves in looking to clinch but Stevenson pushes him off.
No joy there for Stevenson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Banks gets control of Stevenson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Banks will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Banks bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stevenson's guard.
Banks stands and throws Stevenson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stevenson throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Banks.
Stevenson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Banks was well out of range. Poor timing from Stevenson.
Stevenson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stevenson cracks Banks with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Banks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stevenson to the mat! Stevenson manages to get full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Chumbo Banks will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
