2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Mezar! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burnside fails with the takedown. Mezar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burnside moves away. Mezar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mezar throws a series of punches but Burnside avoids them all with ease. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Burnside. Burnside checks the leg kick. Mezar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burnside.
Mark Mezar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mezar misses with a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mezar slow jab from Burnside misses its intended target. Burnside drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mezar prevents Burnside from moving into mount.

Burnside has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Burnside decides to stand back up. Burnside steps back and let's Mezar get back to his feet. A shot to de liver by Burnside. Beautiful body shot.

Mezar is not content to let Burnside control the position. Burnside is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mezar can do to turn this around? Burnside stands up and beckons Mezar to his feet. Mezar lands with a kick to the temple. Burnside shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" And that's the end of the fight! Eddie Burnside showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burnside, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
