Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josh Rawles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tornado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Tornado will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Rawles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Tornado! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tornado fails in his attempt to clinch. Rawles closes the distance and clinches. Rawles has picked Tornado up - he's going for a ride! Rawles dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Rawles content to control rather than advance. Tornado is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tornado gets full guard. Rawles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tornado tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tornado keeping moving, preventing Rawles from controlling successfully. Rawles controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tornado wants to sweep but no luck. Tornado tries to strike from the bottom.
Rawles is looking to stand up but Tornado won't let him. Rawles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tornado on the ground. Rawles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tornado closes the distance looking to clinch and Rawles counters with a nice uppercut. Tornado tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rawles counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rawles stays in close to Tornado's body and controls the position. Rawles trying to control but Tornado is working from the bottom. Rawles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rawles wants to control from the top but Tornado keeps moving. Rawles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rawles landing some decent shots from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rawles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rawles is looking to work some ground and pound but Tornado has wrist control. Rawles looking to sit in guard and control but Tornado gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tornado is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tornado looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rawles wants to stand up but Tornado is controlling him. Rawles looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tornado puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Rawles dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tornado tries to clinch and Rawles counters with a takedown into side control. Rawles working the ground and pound but Tornado is defending the strikes. Rawles looking to control but instead Tornado has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Tornado is pressing down on Rawles's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Rawles seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rawles looking to sit in guard and control but Tornado gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tornado looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tornado stops Rawles from standing up. Rawles controls Tornado momentarily but Tornado frees himself. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tornado stopping the sweep attempt from Rawles. Tornado slips nicely into half guard. Rawles trying to hold on to Tornado's head to control him but Tornado postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tornado is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rawles wants to control but Tornado is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Josh Rawles just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tornado closes the distance looking to clinch and Rawles counters with a takedown into side control. Tornado is breathing heavily. Rawles laying and praying for a moment but Tornado takes advantage and regains half guard. Rawles is keen to just control but Tornado is a slippery customer. Rawles controlling the pace. Josh Rawles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rawles is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Rawles dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Rawles rushes Tornado and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tornado tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rawles avoids it. Tornado stops a takedown attempt from Rawles.
Tornado pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Rawles has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tornado clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Rawles controlling well, preventing Tornado from escaping the position.
Tornado is keeping busy.
Tornado tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Tornado is squirming around, avoiding Rawles's attempts to control the action. Tornado is in a horrible position here. Rawles smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tornado takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rawles trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rawles is really struggling to control Tornado but he's trying to hold on to the position. Rawles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Tornado sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Rawles content to control rather than advance. Rawles trying to pass the guard but Tornado defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tornado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ground and pound from Rawles. Rawles is taking a breather. Tornado says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tornado is looking to escape. Rawles seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Tornado is not content to let Rawles control the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Josh Rawles just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Tornado misses with a body kick. Tony Tornado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rawles circles away from the clinch attempt and Rawles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tornado won't be happy with that. Tornado being controlled for a moment. Rawles grinds an elbow into Tornado's temple. Josh Rawles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rawles is looking to take a break and control but Tornado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tornado is trying to escape the position but Rawles is controlling the position. Rawles scores with punches from side control. Tony Tornado has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rawles trying to control the action but Tornado is working from the bottom. Rawles working the ground and pound. Rawles is looking to take a break and control but Tornado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tornado stops Rawles from passing to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Josh Rawles showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rawles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
