Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dog's choice of entrance music: Bleed it Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crazy Dog!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dog lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Gracie blocks a leg kick.
Dog looks to land a combination. Gracie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dog tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Dog displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.
Dog lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Dog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Dog controlling his opponent.
Gracie is looking to get to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Dog is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Dog uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Gracie misses with a takedown
and Dog counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gracie on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Dog.
Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dog.

Dog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Dog controlling the pace for now.

Dog stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Dog.
Dog misses with a few strikes there.
Dog scores with a shot to the body.

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Dog is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Dog moves into full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dog wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

Dog manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nice straight punches there by Dog. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dog.
A left and a right from Dog both land. Nice combination.
Dog throws a head kick that misses.
Gracie fails with the takedown

and Dog counters by clinching up.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mateus Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Dog obliges.

Gracie jumps guard but Dog stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dog breaks from the clinch.

Dog clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage.

Dog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dog has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dog gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.

Dog lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Dog stands up from half guard.
Gracie checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gracie checks a leg kick.
Gracie fails with the takedown

and Dog counters by clinching up.

Dog has hold of one of Gracie's legs. Gracie is fighting the takedown attempt but Dog gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Dog drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dog jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gracie is trying to keep Dog in close.
Dog controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dog sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Dog stands up from Gracie's guard - Dog perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crazy Dog dominated that round.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Dog clinches with his opponent.
Dog has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Dog breaks the clinch.
Dog dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gracie. That did some damage!
Dog sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dog goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Dog counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dog counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dog.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dog gets to his feet - Gracie follows without any prompting.
Dog misses with a few strikes there.

Dog has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Dog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gracie has his takedown stuffed
and Dog counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mateus Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Dog.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Dog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie fails with the takedown
and Dog counters with a straight right hand.
Left hook, right uppercut from Dog.

Dog lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dog.
Dog cracks Gracie with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dog cracks Gracie with an open hand slap.
Dog is looking to land body kicks.
Dog lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
An inside leg kick lands from Dog.
Gracie takes a kick to the side of the head.
Dog scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dog moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Dog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.
Dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dog content to stall in guard here.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dog can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dog decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dog lands with a nice combination. Gracie backs away looking to recover.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Dog. Gracie shrugs it off though.
Dog lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dog lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dog misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dog does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Dog moves into the clinch.

Dog tightens his grip and picks Gracie up, before dumping him to the ground. Gracie manages to land in guard.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gracie is working an open guard so Dog takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Dog is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard.
Dog is taking a breather. Gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dog stands up and beckons Gracie to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crazy Dog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Dog feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dog decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dog rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dog slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Dog has wrist control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dog looking for a sweep. Not yet Dog, not yet.

Dog pushes Gracie off and gets back to his feet.
Dog misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dog throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gracie.
Gracie moves out of range as Dog throws a body kick.

Dog gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gracie wants a takedown.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dog pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dog is looking to slow Gracie down with leg kicks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dog drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.

Dog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Good work by Gracie as he checks the leg kick.
Dog cracks Gracie with a good jab.
Gracie misses with a takedown

and Dog counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mateus Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dog's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Gracie is working an open guard so Dog takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gracie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Crazy Dog seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Dog throws a series of strikes that have Gracie backpedaling.

Dog scores a takedown into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking to improve his position but Dog isn't that keen on the idea.
Dog controlling his opponent.

Dog throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gracie has his hands clasped together but Dog breaks the hold and Gracie is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Dog!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Crazy Dog!
