Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Robertson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson misses with a double jab.
Robertson fails to land the takedown. Robertson throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and checks it nicely. Silva tries to clinch there but Robertson circles away.

Robertson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Robertson is controlling him well. Robertson cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Robertson asserts his dominance and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robertson trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Robertson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Robertson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Silva lands an elbow that stopped Robertson in his tracks for a moment. Robertson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Robertson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Silva darts in and clinches Robertson up against the cage. Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Robertson wants a takedown but no success here.
Silva blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Silva's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva is trying to maintain a safe position but Robertson gets an underhook and turns Silva into the cage. Michael Robertson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jon Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jon Silva. Robertson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
