Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Duddits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mallon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Domination - Ezekiel Jackson. Dan Mallon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Mallon! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mallon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Mallon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A combination from Mallon does no damage. Mallon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Duddits.
It looks like Dan Mallon has been cut. A punch combination from Mallon misses. Mallon throws a lazy right hand but Duddits sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. No joy there for Mallon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duddits throws out a loose jab but Mallon uses good head movement to avoid it. Duddits ducks under a wild hook from Mallon. Michael Duddits seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Duddits throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fighters circling - Duddits throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mallon misses with an uppercut. Duddits saw that one coming. Duddits scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Duddits stuffs the takedown attempt from Mallon. Mallon gets slowly back to his feet.

Duddits lands a left and a right that send Mallon crashing to the mat, dazed. Duddits thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mallon bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Mallon trying to control the action but Duddits is working from the bottom. The strikes coming from Mallon are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Mallon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Duddits knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mallon on the ground. Duddits wants to get back to his feet but Mallon drags him back down. Duddits dodges the ground and pound from Mallon. Duddits looking for a sweep but Mallon has passed into full mount! Oh no! Mallon content just to control the position here. Mallon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Duddits tries to get out of the position. Duddits tries to get back to half guard but can't. Duddits avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mallon.
Duddits tries to hold on but Mallon postures up. Mallon prevents Duddits from getting the reversal. Mallon avoids the attempt from Duddits to control. Mallon prevents Duddits from getting the reversal. Mallon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mallon lands a big shot there that rocks Duddits but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Duddits blocking the ground and pound. Mallon throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Duddits because Mallon loaded up on that one. Mallon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Duddits can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mallon walks into a left hand. Mallon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mallon throws a right and a left that Duddits avoids nicely. Duddits throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mallon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Duddits dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mallon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Duddits thows a left - swing and a miss! Duddits waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mallon. Mallon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Duddits drops Mallon with a beautiful combination! Mallon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Duddits is looking for the KO!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duddits misses with a hook. Duddits lands a jab to Mallon's midsection. Duddits lunges at Mallon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mallon's hand. Duddits lands a nice shot that snaps Mallon's head back.
Duddits lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mallon circles away quickly and effectively. Duddits is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Duddits drops Mallon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mallon looks back up at him and smiles so Duddits waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Mallon is rocked! Mallon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mallon is still on wobbly legs! Can Duddits finish him?
The cut above Dan Mallon's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Mallon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Duddits throws out the jab. Mallon seems to have recovered his senses. Duddits cracks Mallon with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mallon tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Duddits pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mallon is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
