Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between El Raton Vaquero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Smart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Smart has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, El Raton Vaquero! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxwell Smart! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaquero fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Smart stuffs the takedown attempt from Vaquero. Vaquero gets slowly back to his feet. Smart feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Smart trying to control the position from guard on top but Vaquero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vaquero is looking to stand up but Smart isn't so interested in that idea. Smart must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Vaquero trying to control the position.
Smart trying to stand up but can't free himself from Vaquero's guard. Vaquero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Smart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vaquero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vaquero is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Smart sees it coming and defends easily. Smart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Smart. Vaquero trying to control but Smart is working from the bottom. Vaquero thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smart tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vaquero won't allow Smart to get back to his feet. Smart keeping moving, preventing Vaquero from controlling successfully. Smart wants to sweep here but Vaquero controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Vaquero has his takedown stuffed and Smart counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Raton Vaquero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smart closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vaquero being controlled for a moment. Vaquero sneaks back into half guard. Smart wants to stand up but Vaquero is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smart stops Vaquero from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Smart wants to stand but Vaquero has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Smart decides to return to a standing position. Smart closes the distance and lands a one-two. Smart bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Smart is looking to take a break and control but Vaquero is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vaquero manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Vaquero is working for a submission of some sort.
Vaquero is trying to work for a kimura but Smart is defending well.
Smart looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaquero not landing any meaningful shots this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smart can do anything to dispel that myth. Vaquero is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smart defends it well. Vaquero is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vaquero is breathing heavily. Smart trying to control from the bottom.
Smart wants to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Smart misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vaquero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Smart to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vaquero showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smart.
Vaquero scores a takedown into full mount! Vaquero is going olschool here, as he tries to force Smart to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Smart shrugs it off. Smart looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. Smart is desperately trying to improve his position but Vaquero has a good base and remains in mount. Smart trying desperately to get to his feet.
Vaquero goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Smart turns into him and now he's in Vaquero's guard.
Vaquero wants to stand but Smart is controlling the position. Vaquero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smart's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maxwell Smart dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vaquero doesn't succeed with the takedown and Smart counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vaquero fails with the takedown and Smart counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vaquero's guard now. Smart is looking to stand up but Vaquero won't let him. Smart wants to pass the guard but Vaquero is keeping the position. Vaquero manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Vaquero fails with the takedown so Smart counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Raton Vaquero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vaquero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smart is one step ahead there. Smart is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Maxwell Smart has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vaquero is looking for a triangle but Smart pushes his legs off easily.
Vaquero is trying to control the position but Smart postures up. Smart wants to stand but Vaquero has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Vaquero is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Smart decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vaquero, up you get! Vaquero shoots in and bounces Smart off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Smart is looking to stand up but Vaquero isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaquero drops back looking for a leg! Smart is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smart manages to kick Vaquero off! Vaquero jumps back into Smart's guard. Vaquero drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smart dives on top into guard. Smart throwing strikes from guard but Vaquero blocks nicely. Vaquero wants to sweep here but Smart controlling him for the moment. Vaquero is trying to keep Smart in close.
Smart wants to stand but Vaquero is controlling his posture from full guard. Smart wants to pass the guard but Vaquero is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaquero throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Vaquero controls Smart momentarily but Smart frees himself. Vaquero is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Vaquero keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smart's efforts to push away. Smart can't get the takedown.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Vaquero as Smart tries to tie him up. A frustrated look appears on Smart's face as he tries to break the clinch. Smart prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Smart wants to stand but Vaquero is controlling his posture from full guard. Smart wants to control from the top but Vaquero keeps moving. Vaquero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smart's guard. Smart wants to get back to his feet but Vaquero is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Vaquero trying to control but Smart is working from the bottom. Vaquero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smart wants to stand up but Vaquero is controlling him. Smart is controlling Vaquero's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Maxwell Smart will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Vaquero misses with a takedown and Smart counters with a one-two to the body. Vaquero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Smart counters with a shoot takedown. Vaquero fights it but they end up in guard. Vaquero wants to get back to his feet but Smart is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Smart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vaquero looking for a sweep. Not yet Vaquero, not yet. Vaquero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smart is controlling him. Smart passes into half guard. Smart wants to stand up but Vaquero has a hold of him and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smart gets to his feet - back to striking we go! El Raton Vaquero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vaquero gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Smart counters with a shoot takedown. Vaquero fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for El Raton Vaquero. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vaquero is proving hard to escape from. Smart is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vaquero has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smart is looking to defend but Vaquero has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Smart! Vaquero pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Smart taps out and this one is all over!
