Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rey Polamalu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schultz has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polamalu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Schultz looks gassed! Polamalu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schultz sprawls well initially but Polamalu persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Polamalu is looking to take a break and control but Schultz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Polamalu seems content to control. Schultz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Polamalu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Schultz is refusing to be controlled, as Polamalu sits in half guard. Polamalu controlling the pace. Polamalu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Polamalu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schultz keeps working. Polamalu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schultz is just riding it out for now. Polamalu eventually gives up the hold.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Rey Polamalu just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Schultz with a lazy takedown attempt and Polamalu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Schultz is defending against the submission attempts here by Polamalu.
