Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shumi Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Nakata walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Nakata fails in his attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Nakata could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nakata shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Nakata trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Nakata throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Nakata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nakata throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jones postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nakata wants to get back to full guard.
Jones thows a huge punch but Nakata dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nakata throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nakata is breathing heavily.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Nakata crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Shumi Nakata has been cut.
BOOM! Jones lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nakata. Nakata tries to recover but Jones is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nakata lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
